Napoli star hit-man Victor Osimhen was quite pleased with his side’s 3-2 victory over Udinese within their home-stomping ground. “I am very happy for this match, especially intense for their return in the final. The most important thing is to keep winning ” stated the Nigerian striker in his post-match interview, via TuttoNapoli.
The 23 year-old opened the score-line with a brilliant header in the bottom corner from a great delivery by Elifa Elmas, increasing his goal tally to nine in 15 games played within the Serie A.
A victory this afternoon over Sottil’s men enabled Napoli to secure their eleven-game winning streak for the first time within their history, moving eleven points clear of second place clubs Milan and Lazio.
Following the match, Osimhen provided his perspective of his performance and ambitions for the season:
Second consecutive header goal.
“Elmas gave me a great ball. I’m happy not so much for the goal but for the contribution I give to the team with the goals.”
Would you like to win the top scorer?
“I want to win the trophy with this team. I will be happy if I win the top scorer, but I would never put my goals ahead of the team’s.”
Are you sorry that there is a break for the World Cup?
“I hope my teammates who go to the World Championship do well. The break is not a problem: we will rest for a while and then we will start working again.
