After deciding to depart Real Madrid in order to join La Viola, Serbian striker Luka Jovic opened up about his summer move to Fiorentina.
Since joining Los Blancos in 2019 from Bundesliaga outfits Frankfurt, the 24 year-old has only made 36 appearances across all competitions for the club. As a result, he was even sent back to the German giants on a six-month loan spell due to his unhappiness with his playing-time under Ancelotti.
Consequently, the marksman departed Real Madrid over the summer when is contract ran out and signed a two-year contract with the Italian outfits.
So far this season, Jovic has struggled to find his stride as he only found the back of the net twice in eleven appearances across all competitions.
While speaking to the media, relayed by Tuttomercatoweb, the Serbian talisman provided insight on his decision to join Fiorentina:
I also had offers from bigger clubs, but I decided to come to Fiorentina. I made a great financial sacrifice by accepting the Viola’s offer. I believe that Fiorentina is a good springboard to find the best form and get back into the game again. a great club.”
