Biancocelesti striker Immobile ruled out until 2023

Start

After being forced off the field within the first half of Lazio’s 0-0 draw against Udinese over the weekend, Biancocelesti striker Ciro Immobile is ruled out until 2023.

According to reports from Milan-based journal Gazzetta dello Sport, the striker underwent several medical examinations this morning and it was discovered that the Italian international suffered a bicep injury, which will hold him towards the sidelines for a total of 45 days.

As a result, the 34 year-old talisman will be forced to miss challenging fixtures within the league prior to the World Cup against the likes of Atalanta, Roma and Juventus.

So far this season, the capital club skipper has played an immense role within Lazio’s successful start to the campaign as Immobile notched six goals and three assists in ten games-played within the Serie A.
