Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri runs the risk of being fined for his impromptu interview which was not sanctioned by the club. The Bianconeri boss has come under fire following his sides 2-1 defeat to Benfica with various outlets reporting frustrations between Allegri and his squad.
Allegri gave a lengthy interview to Corriere della Sera journalist Mario Sconcerti yesterday and spoke in detail about the problems he believes the team are facing.
La Gazzetta dello Sport write this morning that the interview has not gone down well at the club, with many unhappy with Allegri’s comments which Allegri has insisted was an informal chat, rather than an interview.
The club are now expected to issue a fine to Allegri for his actions, exacerbating the difficult situation the Bianconeri are currently facing.
The coach singled out specific players when he discussed what his vision for this season was expected to be, a move that has been met with frustration by a team that are reportedly struggling to understand his ideas.
Il Corriere della Sera report that there is ‘high tension’ within the club, particularly the dressing room, where players have are feeling undermined and consider Allegri’s continual reference to injury absentees as excuses from the coach.
