Following the match, Baroni addressed the media in a press conference, expressing his satisfaction with the team’s performance. “I asked the boys to start strong. The team found a lot of good play, we were good at keeping the ball with rhythm, fast. And this is the result of many opportunities. Sometimes we weren’t lucid, but I still congratulate the boys,” he stated.
Baroni emphasized the importance of focusing on their own performance rather than other teams’ results. “I talk to the team every day, we shouldn’t look at others. We have margins, we can fill them. When one looks at other teams, it’s a sign of weakness. I think about my league, my work. The attention is there inside,” he asserted.
Looking ahead to their upcoming match against Napoli, Baroni acknowledged the challenge. “Napoli? They’re having an amazing season. We’ll need a high-level performance, we’ll have a few days to prepare for the match, but we expect growth in these matches,” he said.
The coach also praised Nuno Tavares’ performance, highlighting his offensive qualities. “Nuno Tavares? He’s a strong, offensive player. With great quality. On the other side, this task is left to Isaksen. We’re first for crosses, I’m happy about this too,” Baroni added.
