Start

AC Milan have  officially announced the signing of Riccardo Sottil from Fiorentina. The 25-year-old Italian forward joins the Rossoneri on a loan deal with an option to make the move permanent, adding depth and versatility to Milan’s attacking lineup.

Sottil’s journey to San Siro has been one of steady progression through some of Italy’s most prestigious youth academies. He honed his skills at Genoa and Torino before finding his footing at Fiorentina, where he made his professional debut in September 2018.

Throughout his career, Sottil has demonstrated his adaptability, gaining valuable experience during loan spells at Pescara and Cagliari. However, it was upon his return to Fiorentina that he truly began to flourish. With 138 appearances and 15 goals for La Viola, Sottil has proven himself as a promising talent in Serie A.

Known for his ability to play across the forward line, Sottil’s versatility will provide AC Milan manager Sergio Conceicao with additional tactical options. The young Italian can operate as a winger on either flank or in a more central attacking midfield role, offering the kind of flexibility that modern football demands.

Sottil’s arrival at Milan comes during a busy transfer window for the club, which has already seen movement with the departures of Alvaro Morata and Davide Calabria, as well as the acquisition of Santiago Gimenez. This latest signing underscores Milan’s commitment to blending experienced players with emerging Italian talent.

As he embarks on this new chapter of his career, Sottil will don the number 99 shirt for AC Milan.
