AC Milan have officially announced the signing of Santiago Tomás Gimenez from Feyenoord Rotterdam. The 23-year-old Mexican striker has joined the Italian club on a permanent deal, signing a contract until June 30, 2029.
Gimenez, born on April 18, 2001, in Buenos Aires, Argentina, began his professional career with Cruz Azul in Mexico. During his time there, he made 105 appearances and scored 21 goals, winning the Copa MX and Supercopa MX.
In 2022, Gimenez moved to Feyenoord, where he significantly improved his goal-scoring record. He netted 65 goals in 105 appearances for the Dutch club, helping them secure an Eredivisie title, a KNVB Cup, and a Johan Cruyff Shield.
On the international stage, Gimenez has represented Mexico since October 2021, accumulating 32 caps and scoring four goals for the national team.
At AC Milan, Gimenez will wear the number 7 shirt, signifying the club’s high expectations for their new striker.
