Olympique Marseille Inquire About Milan’s Bennacer

Start

In the final hours of the transfer window, AC Milan finds itself not only focused on incoming transfers but also fielding interest for one of their midfield stalwarts. Olympique Marseille has made an inquiry about Ismael Bennacer, the Algerian international who has been a key figure for the Rossoneri in recent seasons.

Gianluca Di Marzio reports that the French club’s interest in Bennacer is not new, as they had previously attempted to secure his services during the summer transfer window. However, the current offer from Marseille is considered too low by Milan’s standards. The Italian giants are reluctant to part ways with Bennacer unless a substantial bid is tabled, especially considering the challenge of finding a suitable replacement at this late stage of the transfer window.

Bennacer, born in 1997, has been an integral part of Milan’s squad this season, making eight appearances across Serie A, the Champions League, and the Supercoppa Italiana. His importance to the team extends beyond club level, as he has also represented Algeria 50 times on the international stage.

The potential departure of Bennacer would leave a significant void in Milan’s midfield, one that would be difficult to fill immediately.
