Napoli’s winter transfer window continues to be a hive of activity, with the club now on the verge of securing Allan Saint-Maximin on loan from Al-Ahli. The Italian side is in the final stages of exchanging documents with the Saudi Arabian club for the former Newcastle United winger.
Calciomercato report that the deal for Saint-Maximin is structured as a straight loan worth between €3-4 million, without any option or obligation to buy. All parties are now awaiting the legal green light from Al-Ahli and Fenerbahçe to terminate his current loan in Turkey, paving the way for his move to Italy.
This potential acquisition comes in the wake of Napoli’s high-profile sale of Khvicha Kvaratskhelia to Paris Saint-Germain for €70 million earlier in the window. The departure of the Georgian star has left a void in Napoli’s attacking lineup, which Saint-Maximin is expected to fill.
Meanwhile, Napoli’s transfer activity doesn’t stop there. The club is also in negotiations with Fiorentina for young defender Pietro Comuzzo, born in 2005. Additionally, there’s been interest from several clubs, including Atalanta, Roma, and Marseille, in forward Giacomo Raspadori, though manager Antonio Conte has, for now, blocked any potential exit.
Conte seems more open to the departure of Belgian attacker Cyril Ngonge, with Lazio showing interest in a loan deal with an obligation to buy. Ngonge, who previously played under Marco Baroni at Verona, could be reuniting with his former coach.
