AC Milan have successfully concluded negotiations for Santiago Gimenez, the highly sought-after Feyenoord striker. The Argentine-born Mexican international is set to arrive in Italy today at approximately 18:15, with medical examinations scheduled for Sunday.
Calciomercato report that Gimenez will sign a contract with Milan that runs until June 2029, earning a net salary of 2.5 million euros per year. The Rossoneri management convinced their Dutch counterparts with an offer of 35 million euros, including bonuses, and a percentage of any future resale for the 24-year-old forward.
The new Milan signing is expected to be in attendance at San Siro for Sunday’s derby against Inter, watching from the stands as he awaits his official debut.
Gimenez’s arrival paves the way for Alvaro Morata’s departure, with the Spanish striker poised to join Galatasaray in Turkey. Additionally, young talent Francesco Camarda is set to leave on loan to Monza.
Milan’s transfer activity may not be over yet, as the club is reportedly working on bringing in another attacker for Portuguese coach Sergio Conceição. They are exploring the possibility of securing João Félix on loan from Chelsea. The former Atletico Madrid and Benfica player has also attracted interest from Aston Villa, though the English club seems to have shifted their focus to Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford after selling John Duran to Al-Nassr, now managed by former Milan coach Stefano Pioli in Saudi Arabia.
