Napoli’s Race Against Time for Saint-Maximin Deal

Start

Napoli have reached a verbal agreement with Al Ahli for the loan of Allan Saint-Maximin, but the Italian club face a tight deadline to complete the transfer. The potential move comes as Napoli seeks to fill the void left by Kvicha Kvaratskhelia’s departure.

According to recent reports from Calciomercato, Napoli have submitted an official loan offer for Saint-Maximin, who is currently on loan at Fenerbahçe from Saudi Arabian club Al Ahli. The proposed deal involves a paid loan of 3-4 million euros until June, which has been verbally agreed upon by both Napoli and Al Ahli.

However, the transfer faces significant time constraints. The Saudi Arabian transfer window closes at midnight tonight, necessitating an immediate termination of Saint-Maximin’s loan at Fenerbahçe. This crucial step must be completed within hours for Napoli to proceed with finalizing the deal with Al Ahli.

The 27-year-old French winger is Napoli’s preferred choice to replace Kvaratskhelia. The club will know by tomorrow if the operation is feasible. If the loan termination from Fenerbahçe cannot be arranged in time, the clubs may attempt to structure the deal differently, possibly seeking an exemption as it involves a return from a loan rather than a permanent transfer.

This potential move comes despite Napoli’s reported interest in Anderlecht winger Francis Amuzu, indicating the club’s determination to strengthen their attacking options before the transfer window closes.
