Roma’s coach Claudio Ranieri shared his thoughts in the customary pre-match press conference, addressing several key points:
On Hermoso’s situation, Ranieri stated: “When I arrived, Hermoso was injured, then he reached a good physical level. I like him very much, but understandably, he wants to play, and I can’t guarantee that to anyone. I understand because a player of his calibre deserves to play, and I want players who are happy to be in Roma.”
Regarding the arrival of Rensch, Ranieri commented: “Certainly, I can vary some things and also play with four at the back.”
