Roma are continuing their ]strengthening campaign and has recently evaluated a potential midfield coup: Casemiro. The former Real Madrid player is on the fringes of Ruben Amorim’s project at Manchester United and could leave the Red Devils in this winter transfer window. The Giallorossi have considered the option, but only under one specific condition.
Calciomercato report that Roma and sporting director Florent Ghisolfi have contemplated acquiring Casemiro, the 32-year-old Manchester United midfielder. However, this path would only be viable in one case: with the departure of Leandro Paredes.
Roma are working on a new striker to partner Artem Dovbyk and a defender in view of Mario Hermoso’s departure, but there could also be room for an adjustment in midfield.
Everything depends on Paredes – whose contract with the capital club expires on June 30 – who has reportedly done everything to move to Boca Juniors immediately. However, the Xeneizes have not been in contact with Roma or the player for a week, and Paredes has also rejected an offer from Santos. As a result, he is expected to remain with the Giallorossi.
