Serie A | Torino v Cagliari: Probable starting lineups

Start

Torino faces several lineup challenges as they prepare for their upcoming match against Cagliari this evening. Ali Dembele will be absent due to suspension following his red card in the recent draw against Fiorentina. However, the team will welcome back Karol Linetty and Sebastian Walukiewicz, who have completed their suspensions.

The injury list for Torino is substantial. Mergim Vojvoda is sidelined with a calf issue, while Perr Schuurs continues his long-term recovery from a knee injury. The team is also missing key players Duvan Zapata and Emirhan Ilkhan, both out with ACL tears. Additionally, Ivan Ilic is unavailable due to a muscular problem.

In contrast, Cagliari’s squad is in better shape, with only Zito Luvumbo currently injured. The Angolan forward is nearing a return from an ankle issue.

Cagliari’s Nadir Zortea has been in exceptional form recently. The attacker has scored in three consecutive matches, including a crucial equalizer against AC Milan and the decisive goal against Lecce.

In recent transfer activity, Cagliari have made a significant change in their goalkeeping department. They completed a loan swap with Napoli, bringing in Elia Caprile while Simone Scuffet moved in the opposite direction. Caprile has already made an impact, recording 11 saves in his first two appearances for his new club.
