Como’s ambitious transfer strategy continues to make waves in Italian football, and fresh off the heels of securing Dele Alli on a free transfer, the Italian club have now set their sights on Barcelona defender Eric Garcia. This latest pursuit underscores Como’s determination to not only secure Serie A survival but also to build a sustainable project blending experience with emerging talent.
According to reports from Calciomercato, Como have initiated negotiations with Barcelona for Garcia, with an opening bid of €10 million already on the table. The club’s manager, Cesc Fabregas, has personally reached out to the player, outlining Como’s project in an attempt to persuade the young Spaniard to make the move to Italy.
Garcia, a 23-year-old center-back who can also operate in midfield, brings a wealth of experience despite his young age. A product of Barcelona’s famed La Masia academy, Garcia also spent time in Manchester City’s youth setup, further honing his skills.
