Deportivo La Coruña Sets Sights on Udinese’s Iker Bravo

Start

Deportivo La Coruña, currently struggling in Spain’s Segunda División, have expressed interest in Udinese’s young striker Iker Bravo. The Spanish club is exploring the possibility of a loan move for the 20-year-old talent, who joined Udinese from Bayer Leverkusen for €10 million in the summer of 2024.

Gianluca Di Marzio details how Bravo, born in 2005, has shown promise in his debut season in Serie A, scoring one goal and providing one assist in 16 appearances across all competitions for Udinese. However, the potential move to Deportivo faces a significant hurdle: Bravo would need to agree to step down to a lower division, an option he currently does not favor.

The Spanish striker’s journey has been closely watched by several clubs, with Real Madrid reportedly monitoring his progress in Serie A. Bravo’s decision to join Udinese was driven by a desire for consistent playing time, a factor that could influence his stance on any potential move.

Interestingly, Deportivo’s interest extends beyond Bravo. The club is also eyeing another Spaniard in Udinese’s squad, midfielder Oier Zarraga. As with Bravo, convincing Zarraga to leave Serie A for Spain’s second tier could prove challenging.

While these transfers remain in the early stages of interest, they highlight Deportivo’s ambition to strengthen their squad as they battle in the lower half of the Segunda División table. The club, once a powerhouse in Spanish football, is clearly looking to tap into Spanish talent currently plying their trade abroad.
