According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Juventus are making significant progress in their pursuit of Paris Saint-Germain striker Randal Kolo Muani. The Italian giants are seeking an alternative to Dusan Vlahovic, and Juventus’ sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli has identified the French forward as the best opportunity in the current market.
The deal could potentially be finalized in the coming days, as PSG are reportedly open to a loan arrangement and may even be willing to contribute to Kolo Muani’s substantial annual salary of 8 million euros net.
Juventus, constrained by financial limitations without player sales, are primarily focused on strengthening their defence. However, PSG’s flexibility regarding a temporary transfer without future guarantees makes this deal more feasible than other options, such as Manchester United’s Joshua Zirkzee.
Kolo Muani, who was acquired by PSG for 95 million euros from Eintracht Frankfurt in the summer of 2023, has found himself on the fringes of Luis Enrique’s plans this season. He has made 14 appearances, mostly as a substitute, scoring just two goals.
For Juventus manager Thiago Motta, the French international could serve not only as an alternative to Vlahovic but also as a tactical variant, given his ability to operate effectively on both wings.
The next few days will be crucial for Juventus as they attempt to secure Kolo Muani’s services ahead of competition from Tottenham Hotspur. If successful, this move could significantly bolster Juventus’ attacking options for the remainder of the season.
