Cassano Praises Rashford, but Doubts Serie A Move

Start

Former AC Milan and Inter Milan striker Antonio Cassano has shared his thoughts on Marcus Rashford, the Manchester United forward who has been linked with moves to Milan, Juventus, and Como. Speaking on his show “Viva El Futbol,” which he co-hosts with Lele Adani and Nicola Ventola, Cassano expressed his admiration for Rashford while casting doubt on the likelihood of a Serie A transfer.

Cassano was effusive in his praise for the English forward, stating: “We’re talking about a fantastic player who drives me crazy. Not three years ago, five years ago, or ten years ago, but a year and a half ago he finished the season with 28 goals playing as a wide forward. We’re talking about a fantastic player. Something broke there at Manchester United, first with Ten Hag and now especially with Amorim.”

However, despite his enthusiasm for Rashford’s abilities, Cassano believes that financial constraints will prevent any Italian club from securing his services. He explained: “The problem is that he earns 12 million euros per season. Who can afford such a figure in Italy? No one in Italy can afford it. It would be fantastic for both Milan and Juventus, but I don’t think he can come to our league.”
