Fiorentina have officially confirmed the signing of Czech midfielder Antonin Barak from Hellas Verona. The 27-year-old joins La Viola on loan for the 2022-23 season with the club retaining an option to buy next summer. A statement on the clubs official website confirmed the signing:
Fiorentina is pleased to announce that Antonin Barak has joined the club on an initial loan. The deal includes an option to make the move permanent and a compulsory purchase clause if certain conditions are met.
The 27-year-old midfielder – born in Pribram, Czech Republic on 3 December 1994 – joined Udinese from Slavia Prague in 2017 and has since played his trade for Lecce and Verona, racking up 130 appearances and 27 goals in Serie A.
Barak has also earned 30 caps and scored eight goals for the Czech Republic national team.
Barak will wear number 72.
