AC Milan’s owner Gerry Cardinale is reportedly exploring options for a new technical director, with former Juventus executive Fabio Paratici emerging as a potential candidate. This news comes as current technical director Geoffrey Moncada’s contract is set to expire on June 30, 2025.
Calciomcercato report how Paratici, who is currently sidelined following his resignation from Tottenham Hotspur in April 2023, could be available for new opportunities after his suspension period ends on June 30, 2024. The experienced Italian director was banned for 30 months by Italian football authorities in connection with the Juventus false accounting case, but has since received FIFA clearance to take on consulting roles.
Milan’s current management structure, established in the summer of 2023, is led by CEO Giorgio Furlani, with Moncada as technical director and Zlatan Ibrahimovic serving as an operating partner and senior advisor for RedBird Capital. The club is now considering adding another experienced football profile to their ranks, especially in light of the recent departure of sporting director Antonio D’Ottavio.
Paratici’s track record includes successful stints at Sampdoria and Juventus, where he worked alongside Giuseppe Marotta. At Juventus, he played a crucial role in the club’s dominance of Italian football, contributing to nine Serie A titles, five Coppa Italia victories, and two Champions League final appearances.
