Following Inter Milan’s 2-0 win against Udinese in the Coppa Italia, head coach Simone Inzaghi shared his thoughts on the match and the team’s performance. The victory secured Inter’s place in the quarterfinals, where they will face Lazio, who recently eliminated Napoli.
Inzaghi opened the post-match interview by highlighting the significance of the win. “Clearly, it is a great signal. It was an important match, a round of 16 game, but when I say that I have 25 starters, I say it seriously. I make choices for the good of Inter, but they were excellent at interpreting the game in the best way,” he stated.
The coach expressed gratitude for his team, saying, “I am fortunate to have a great working group. These are clearly good signals from tonight, and now we must focus on the upcoming matches.”
Inzaghi also addressed areas for improvement, acknowledging that there is always room for growth. “We improve every day. On Monday, we won by a large margin, and even then, there were situations where we could have done better. Today we faced a worthy opponent, and we didn’t feel the impact of the eight changes we made,” he explained.
As he concluded his remarks, Inzaghi shifted his focus to the ongoing Serie A campaign. “We are running, but other teams are doing the same. It’s a very open league this year; there is no gap like in previous seasons. There are challenges every day, and you must be good at recovering strength and energy,” he noted.
