There’s good news for Bologna as they prepare for their upcoming away match against Torino on Saturday. Captain Riccardo Orsolini has rejoined group training, as confirmed by an official club statement. The team conducted a tactical session with shooting practice, and Orsolini participated fully with his teammates.
While Orsolini is expected to be included in the squad, manager Italiano will decide whether to start him or use him as a substitute. This return to fitness comes as a significant boost for Bologna, following the recent comeback of Miranda.
However, the situation remains uncertain for Swiss player Ndoye, who trained separately and might miss the Torino trip. Aebischer and El Azzouzi also worked apart from the main group. Additionally, Nicolò Cambiaghi remains unavailable due to a knee ligament injury suffered on his Bologna debut against Empoli, with hopes of returning for the season’s end.
As the match approaches, Italiano still has some lineup decisions to make. In defense, there’s a three-way competition for the left-back position between Holm, Lykogiannis, and Miranda, with Holm currently favored. In midfield, Ferguson is likely to start over Fabbian in the attacking midfield role. If Orsolini starts on the bench, Odgaard and Dominguez are expected to flank the attacking line. However, if Orsolini is deemed fit to start, either Odgaard or Dominguez may be left out of the starting eleven. Up front, Santiago Castro remains the undisputed choice as the striker.
