Bologna’s Ndoye sidelined with ankle Injury

Start

Bologna’s 24-year-old forward Dan Ndoye, has suffered an ankle sprain that will keep him out of action in the short term. The Swiss international was forced off at halftime during Bologna’s recent match against Fiorentina, prompting concerns about his fitness.

Bologna resumed training this morning in preparation for their upcoming away fixture against Torino. While his teammates engaged in technical drills and a half-field practice match under the watchful eye of coach Vincenzo Italiano, Ndoye underwent further medical examinations.

The results of these tests confirmed a sprain to Ndoye’s left ankle. The club has announced that his condition will be reassessed later in the week, leaving his availability for the Torino match in doubt.

Bologna is currently dealing with a spate of injuries, with Juan Miranda, Michel Aebischer, Oussama El Azzouzi, and Riccardo Orsolini all participating in individualized training sessions separate from the main group.

Despite the injury concerns, particularly in attack with both Orsolini and Ndoye sidelined, Coach Italiano still has several offensive options at his disposal. Jens Odgaard, who scored the decisive goal against Fiorentina, could be called upon to fill the void. Other potential replacements include Dominguez, Iling, and Karlsson, giving Italiano flexibility in his team selection for the upcoming fixtures.
