Motta highlighted the versatility of Weston McKennie, saying, “Weston can do everything. It’s difficult to take Koopmeiners off the pitch because he orients the team and conveys what we need on the field. Weston has extraordinary physicality, great technique, and when he arrives from the second line, he’s even more dangerous, as we saw today and against PSV. We’re fortunate to have quality players who provide alternatives during matches, and I’m happy for him that he came on well.”
Reflecting on the match dynamics, Motta noted, “We need to focus on tonight; Leipzig was a completely different game. We had to stay united, play with quality during recoveries, and support Vlahovic up front.”
