Fiorentina have provided a positive update on the condition of midfielder Edoardo Bove, who collapsed during Sunday’s Serie A match against Inter Milan. The 22-year-old player is now awake and responsive after spending the night in intensive care at Careggi University Hospital in Florence.
Medical Status
Bove has been extubated and is described as “awake, alert and oriented” following what the club called an “uneventful” night. He has regained consciousness and has been speaking with doctors, family members, and club officials throughout the morning.
Ongoing Evaluation
While the initial prognosis appears positive, medical staff are continuing to conduct diagnostic tests to determine the cause of Bove’s collapse. Further examinations will be carried out in the coming days to establish what led to the critical situation that occurred during the match.
Support and Visits
Several of Bove’s teammates have already visited him in the hospital, including David De Gea, Lucas Beltran, Danilo Cataldi, Lucas Martinez Quarta, and Andrea Colpani. Additionally, Fiorentina coach Raffaele Palladino, club directors Alessandro Ferrari and Daniele Prade, and FIGC President Gabriele Gravina have all paid visits to check on Bove’s condition.
