Following the alarming incident during the Fiorentina-Inter match, where Fiorentina midfielder Edoardo Bove collapsed on the field, Inter Milan’s CEO Beppe Marotta spoke to Sky Sport about the situation. He expressed the solidarity of the football community in light of the medical emergency that unfolded.
“I spoke with Pradé a little while ago,” Marotta stated. “I am here to express the closeness of Inter and the world of football. We are a community; when situations like this happen, all players and the referee are involved. It was a spontaneous decision to suspend the match.”
Marotta emphasized that the focus should remain on Bove’s health rather than other matches or decisions regarding rescheduling. “We haven’t addressed the topic of rescheduling other matches, such as Lecce-Juventus and Roma-Atalanta,” he noted. “Our concentration and thoughts are with Bove. Tomorrow we will evaluate what needs to be done regarding recovery situations.”
