Manchester United director John Murtough has been pictured in Turin this morning ahead of talks with Juventus for Adrien Rabiot. United are thought to be the Frenchman’s preferred destination this summer and the the two clubs are thought to have already agreed terms on an £18m deal.
United had been keen on a move for Barcelona midfielder Frenkie De Jong, however his reluctance to move has seen them look at other options in the centre of the pitch.
High on the list is Rabiot, and while Juve have agreed to the sale, United are still working to agree terms with the player and more importantly, his mother/agent, Veronique.
Earler this week it was reported that Veronique had made it clear she would only deal with Murtough instead of any other intermediary, which is what has reportedly led to today’s meeting.
Rabiot is prepared to sacrifice playing in the Champions League next season in favour of playing an important role for the Red Devils under new coach Erik Ten-Hag.
