Following another defeat for Torino, who lost 2-0 to Juventus in the derby, head coach Vanoli shared his thoughts on the match and the team’s current situation.
Vanoli began by expressing satisfaction with the team’s performance: “I really liked how the team played. At the moment, we’re lacking offensive power, so we need to be better at finding something extra. Right now, Juventus is individually stronger, but we interpreted the game well.”
Addressing the team’s early season results, Vanoli emphasized the need for humility: “The results at the beginning of the season weren’t an illusion because dynamics have changed. With great humility, we must lower our heads and admit that the first objective is to secure points for survival.”
The coach also discussed the challenges of international breaks: “The breaks are difficult because with 14 players on national team duty, it’s hard to work on certain situations. To prepare for the Monza match, I’ll have to wait for those returning from intercontinental trips, like Sanabria.”
Vanoli concluded by reflecting on the team’s current situation: “There are beautiful moments – like at the beginning of the season – and less beautiful ones – like this – to overcome without lowering our heads, fighting and working. Everyone has their own opinions, but I’m satisfied with the performance, both considering the complicated period and because we were missing Adams’ contribution in the offensive phase.”
