Roma and PSG are edging ever closer to an agreement for the transfer of Dutch midfielder Gini Wijnaldum this summer. The 31-year-old does not feature in the plans of new coach Christophe Galtier and is one of a number of players who is being allowed to leave the club this summer.
Sky Sport Italia’s Gianluca Di Marzio writes that the Giallorossi are waiting for the final go-ahead for the deal, but an agreement is close.
Although the Dutch midfielder went to both clubs to encourage negotiations, PSG are asking Roma or the player for an additional €1m gross on salary and on some bonuses that the former Liverpool player now has with the French champions.
Di Marzio writes that very little is missing, although there is still no definitive agreement and therefore, it’s not yet possible to organize a program for the players arrival in Italy and the consequent medical visits.
Today, however, could be the decisive day in the negotiations and a deal may be concluded by next week.
