As the Champions League returns with an exciting midweek fixture list, Juventus prepare to face Lille in a crucial match following their home defeat against Stuttgart. On the eve of the French trip, Thiago Motta addressed the media in a press conference and spoke to Sky Sport.

In his interview with Sky Sport, Motta emphasized the importance of respecting their opponents: “As always, great respect for the opponent is needed. It will be important to give continuity to the results; we must improve every day and in every match. Lille is doing well, and we will face them with respect.”

Reflecting on the recent performance against Udinese, Motta praised Koopmeiners: “Koopmeiners did well against Udinese; he’s an important player for us. Both he and the others put in a good performance, but that’s in the past now.”

Looking ahead to the Lille match, Motta stated: “Tomorrow will be a good game against a team that is doing very well at the moment. We will have to play our game and put our style into practice.”

Addressing the team’s composition, Motta said: “We need everyone, both Vlahovic and the others. We are focused and determined to put in a good performance. For tomorrow, Milik, Bremer, and Nico will be missing. All the others will be available, which is important to raise the level and competition among players during the week.”

On the tight Serie A standings, Motta emphasized focus on self-improvement: “The most important thing is us; we don’t look at the standings. We need to improve and continue on this path.”

Midfielder Thuram also shared his thoughts: “We put in a good performance against Udinese, the whole team. We were close to scoring, but I care more about the victory. Both my father and brother wrote to me; they were both happy for me. Lille is a great team that plays very good football. They are confident, and we will need to be very strong as a team to win tomorrow.”
