Parma’s Pecchia provides Injury update ahead of Genoa clash

Start

Parma manager Fabio Pecchia addressed the media in his pre-match press conference ahead of the team’s upcoming fixture against Genoa. The coach provided an update on the squad’s injury situation following their recent 2-2 draw with Juventus.

“Compared to when he came to the bench against Empoli, he has added energy and is ready for limited playing time. Benedyczak’s condition is also improving. We’ve lost Hernani, and Valenti has also stopped, but the rest of the group is doing well,” Pecchia stated, giving insight into the current state of his squad.

The manager also reflected on the continuity within his group despite the step up to Serie A and their approach to the top flight. “We talk about it less because I don’t want to be repetitive, but for me, this is the foundation on which to build a team and a football organization. If there isn’t this climate and this strong sense of belonging, the technical values are then expressed to a lesser degree,” Pecchia explained.

He emphasized the importance of maintaining a cohesive unit: “I continue to say that I need the whole group, everyone involved. I demand from everyone, even from those who have remained on the margins so far. I demand even more from them because it’s not easy to stay out. In training, I demand even more from them, because for those who play, it’s easier to get gratification.”
