Juventus Football Director Cristiano Giuntoli addressed the media before the match at Udinese’s Friuli stadium, discussing the team’s current situation and potential January transfer moves.
Giuntoli acknowledged the impact of Bremer’s injury, stating, “Bremer’s injury has been significant, but we have valid solutions. At the moment, we have many injured players and have had to manage our resources carefully. The number of matches played in quick succession has made us less sharp on some occasions and more brilliant in others.”
When asked if he would prioritize signing a central defender or a striker if the transfer window were open now, Giuntoli was clear: “A central defender.”
Regarding the possibility of playing without Vlahovic in Motta’s system, Giuntoli said, “We have the option to play other players, we have alternatives. Milik can also help us when he returns.”
On the rumors linking Skriniar to Juventus, Giuntoli was cautious: “At this moment, it’s premature. Things change continuously. Currently, we’re not making any moves, we’re just observing the situation.”
Giuntoli also praised manager Thiago Motta: “He’s had a great impact in the Juventus world. We’ve changed a lot. We started with a very important team structure, even before the injuries. I’ve been struck by his frankness. He’s a very serious person, very dedicated, and of great talent. I think he’ll have a great future.”
