Juventus Manager Thiago Motta calls for patience and Improvement after Parma draw

Start

Juventus were held to a 2-2 draw by Parma in their latest Serie A encounter, marking their second consecutive stalemate following the draw against Inter Milan. Goals from McKennie and Weah for Juventus were matched by Delprato and Sohm for Parma. After the match, Juventus manager Thiago Motta shared his thoughts with DAZN.

Motta began by addressing the defensive issues his team faced: “We’re allowing too many counterattacks to our opponents. We were trying to provoke errors from the opposition, but instead we conceded goals. When we have the ball in the final third, we need to manage it well. We must finish our actions effectively to maintain team balance and prevent the opponent from counterattacking.”

The manager acknowledged the inconsistency in his team’s performance: “In many moments we did well, in many others we didn’t. This is why we conceded so much to Parma. We need to have more patience.”

Commenting on Parma’s pressing tactics, Motta explained: “They didn’t press very high up the pitch. We tried to create numerical superiority in central areas. If they close down, at the very least we need to gain ground. We need to improve in the final third.”
