Juventus Football Director Cristiano Giuntoli shared his thoughts on the team’s current situation and future prospects ahead of their match against Parma. Speaking to the media, Giuntoli touched on various topics, including young talent, the recent derby, and potential transfer targets.
Giuntoli began by praising young player Yildiz, stating, “Yildiz has shown great qualities, not just in terms of scoring. He has a bright future ahead of him.”
Reflecting on the recent derby d’Italia, Giuntoli commented, “It could have gone worse, but it could have also gone better. The team never gave up, sometimes succeeding, other times less so. We work every day while waiting for January.”
When asked about Juventus’ chances in the Scudetto race, Giuntoli remained cautious and realistic. “The championship has just started, and there’s still a long way to go,” he said. “We’ve been using the same players frequently for many matches, and now all teams can be formidable. It won’t be an easy journey. We need to grow; we’re a very young team. Our ambitions develop as we progress.”
Giuntoli also acknowledged the strength of their competitors, particularly Napoli. “Napoli is a great team that won the Scudetto two years ago, so they start from a different level,” he noted.
The director also addressed rumors linking Parma player Bonny to Juventus. When asked about the young forward, Giuntoli simply stated, “He’s a good player,” neither confirming nor denying any potential interest from the club.
