Following one of the most thrilling Inter-Juventus clashes in recent memory, Juventus legend Alessandro Del Piero shared his thoughts on the spectacle at San Siro from the Sky Sport studio.
Del Piero began by expressing his surprise at Juventus’ comeback: “Did I expect Juventus to equalize? No. After the 4-2, Inter came on strong and had more than one or two chances to make it 5-2. I think this should be Inter’s biggest regret.”
The former Juventus captain highlighted the crucial moments that kept his old team in the game: “Di Gregorio played the hero, and some balls went just wide of the post. In a match that seemed like a boxing match, Juventus had this spark.”
Commenting on the impact of young talent Kenan Yildiz, Del Piero emphasized the importance of such players: “We need things like this – one-on-one skills and putting the ball in the net.”
However, Del Piero reserved his highest praise for another player: “Conceicao was the best on the field, in my opinion.”
