Vieira: “Marcus and Khephren Thuram are different, but they can be the future of France”

In a recent interview with DAZN, former Juventus and Inter midfielder Patrick Vieira shared his thoughts on the Thuram brothers, Marcus and Khephren, highlighting their potential to shape the future of French football.

Vieira stated, “They are two different players, playing for important clubs, and I believe they can be the future of France.” He went on to analyze each brother’s strengths and areas for growth.

Regarding Marcus Thuram, Vieira noted, “Marcus is a forward who likes to make deep runs. I believe he still has two or three levels of development to become even stronger. The Italian league has helped him grow significantly, especially in terms of goal-scoring, which was previously a weakness. He’s now become a striker who always wants to score, which is crucial for a number 9.”

Turning his attention to Khephren Thuram, Vieira commented, “Khephren is a player with the technical qualities of a midfielder. He can play box-to-box with the ball at his feet. What he lacked was something on the tactical side, and I think he made the right choice going to Italy, especially to Juventus. I believe he’s the midfielder of the future.”

When asked if Khephren could be the new Patrick Vieira, the former French international humbly replied, “No, Khephren has a bit more technical quality than me.”

Vieira also offered his prediction for the upcoming Inter-Juventus match, stating, “Inter has the advantage, but Juventus always responds well in such important games. I think they could give Inter a run for their money. We’ll see.”
