Inter Milan’s new midfield target: Gianluca Busio in Oaktree’s plans

Start

Inter Milan are embarking on a rejuvenation strategy under the guidance of Oaktree Capital, an approach that will impact every department of the team. This strategic shift aims to strengthen the squad available to coach Simone Inzaghi, with club president Giuseppe Marotta and sporting director Piero Ausilio leading the charge.

La Stampa (via Tribuna) report that one of the primary targets in this new strategy is Gianluca Busio, a young American midfielder currently playing for Venezia. Born in 2002, Busio has already made a mark in Serie A during the 2021-22 season and continues to impress with his technical skills and vision on the field. This season, he has also managed to score a goal, further highlighting his potential.

Busio represents a key piece in Inter’s midfield plans as they seek to build a competitive team capable of sustaining long-term success. His inclusion in the squad would align with Oaktree’s vision of acquiring promising talents who can contribute significantly to the team’s future.
