Roma manager Ivan Juric expressed disappointment but also pride in his team’s performance following their 1-0 loss to Inter Milan at the Stadio Olimpico on Sunday evening.
“It’s a real shame,” Juric told reporters after the match. “We managed to cause problems for Inter and limit them in almost every aspect.”
The coach acknowledged his side’s slow start but felt they grew into the game as it progressed. “I think we began a bit timidly. Then we improved, but in these matches you pay dearly for errors. We made a few too many technical mistakes.”
Juric highlighted areas for improvement in attack, noting: “We need to be more dangerous in the final third of the pitch.” However, he praised the team’s overall application and commitment.
“There’s dedication from the whole squad,” he said. “With the new players we need to adapt, we have to be good at interchanging at the right moments.”
The Roma boss also addressed the atmosphere at the Olimpico, expressing his belief that positive results will help unite the fanbase behind the team.
“The only way to bring everyone together is to get results, that’s why I’m disappointed about tonight,” Juric explained. “I think the crowd was pleased with some aspects of our play. There’s a great willingness to make sacrifices from everyone – the results will come.”
