Former Juventus and Lazio player Igor Tudor shared his thoughts on the upcoming match between his former clubs and various other football topics in a recent interview with Tuttosport.

Tudor expects an exciting game between Juventus and Lazio, praising both teams’ new coaches for their positive starts and attacking mindsets. He believes the match will be entertaining for fans, as both teams are built to achieve good results.

Reflecting on his time with both clubs, Tudor said, “At Juventus, I created my DNA having lived there for 8 years when I was young. The club gave me the imprint of what I became. At Lazio, I had a lot of fun with the staff, players, and club in those three months. Good work was also done in Rome.”

When asked for a prediction, Tudor favors Juventus to win, citing home advantage and a stronger squad. He sees four teams as title contenders, with Inter slightly ahead of Milan, Juventus, and Napoli. He considers Atalanta and Roma as outsiders, followed by Lazio.

Tudor praised young Juventus talent Yildiz, saying, “I noticed him last year and I’m happy for him. I’ve been coaching for 15 years and I always say that quality has no age. Strong players should always play, especially if they’re not defenders.”

Regarding Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic, Tudor was full of praise: “Vlahovic is very strong for me. He may have missed some goals, but he has scored and will score many: he can reach 25-30 this season.”

When asked about potential transfer targets, Tudor mentioned, “Here in Croatia, I really like Baturina who plays for Dinamo Zagreb: a mix between an 8 and a 10.”

Discussing his own future, Tudor said, “It doesn’t make a difference whether it’s in Italy or abroad. The important thing is sharing the project and thoughts with the club and the directors. Seeing football in the same way in terms of how to build and manage a team, while respecting everyone’s roles.”
