Pogba’s next move: Evra pushes for Marseille, MLS more likely than Saudi Arabia

Start

Paul Pogba is set to begin a new chapter in his career, not only due to the end of his suspension in a few months but also because he will be leaving Juventus permanently to embark on a new adventure away from Turin. His presence at the Allianz Stadium during Juventus’ last match may have been a farewell gesture to the fans and the club.

It was already known that Pogba and Juventus were destined to part ways, regardless of the reduction in his suspension. The words of Cristiano Giuntoli and Thiago Motta, who both spoke of Pogba in the past tense, saying “he was a great player,” were further indications of Juventus’ stance. But where could Paul go next?

According to reports from Tuttosport (via IlBianconero), his friend Patrice Evra is pushing for a move to Marseille. However, the most likely destination appears to be Major League Soccer (MLS), the American league that has become a safe haven for many stars in the twilight of their careers. The United States, where Pogba owns a house in Miami, seems to be more attractive to him than Saudi Arabia.

In the summer of 2023, before he tested positive for doping, Pogba had received significant offers from Saudi clubs. Now, however, the United States appears to be the most concrete option for the French midfielder.

The MLS could offer Pogba a chance to rebuild his career in a less pressurized environment while still playing at a competitive level. It would also allow him to experience life in America, something that seems to appeal to him given his property in Miami.

While a move to Marseille, as suggested by Evra, would keep Pogba in a top European league and closer to home, the allure of the MLS and the American lifestyle might prove too strong to resist.
