Teun Koopmeiners’ participation in Juve’s match against Cagliari came to an early end after just 45 minutes of play. The Dutch midfielder was substituted by Juventus manager Thiago Motta at half-time, with Nicolò Fagioli taking his place on the field.
IlBianconeri confirm that Motta’s decision to replace Koopmeiners was not based on any tactical considerations. Instead, it was revealed that the player had experienced discomfort in his rib area – an issue that had previously surfaced during the Champions League match against Leipzig.
As a precautionary measure, Italian midfielder Fagioli was brought on to replace him.
