Thuram: ‘The Capocannoniere title doesn’t interest me’

Inter Milan’s Marcus Thuram delivered a stellar performance in their 3-2 victory against Torino, netting a hat-trick that propelled his team to success. Despite his individual brilliance, Thuram remained focused on the team’s achievements rather than personal glory.

Speaking after the match, Thuram expressed his satisfaction with breaking his recent goal drought: “I hadn’t scored for two or three games. The important thing is that the team won. Today I scored, which is good for me.”

When questioned about the race for the top scorer title, Thuram demonstrated his team-first mentality: “I’m not interested in that. What’s important is that Inter wins and we secure the three points.”

Regarding Inter’s title ambitions, Thuram acknowledged the challenges ahead while expressing confidence in the squad’s capabilities: “Every match in Serie A is difficult. We have a great squad, and we’ll try to always do better.”

During the post-match conference, Thuram addressed a slight injury he sustained during the game: “How’s my ankle? A bit sore, it twisted a bit, and I’ll need to have it examined.”

Despite the potential setback, Thuram remained positive about his upcoming international duty: “It’s better to have won. I’ll go with a clear mind.”
