Juventus consider Arsenal defender Kiwior to replace injured Bremer

Start

Arsenal centre-back  Jakub Kiwior is once again a potential target for Juventus, following the injury to Gleison Bremer. The Bianconeri’s squad was already minimalist in certain positions, and the long-term absence of Bremer (6 months) increases the need for additional alternatives. The Brazilian’s injury has forced the club to reconsider its options and increases the possibility of early-season surprises.

Currently, Pierre Kalulu is more than a guarantee as a center-back, while Danilo can compete for the position to find more consistency alongside Federico Gatti. The internal solution rules out the possibility of signing a free agent and gives Juan Cabal and Nicolo Savona the opportunity to find more space in the squad rotation. Both players can act from the central position or close the back three line during the build-up phase.

La Gazzetta dello Sport report that numerically, an additional element should be added, but the club could wait until the January transfer window. Among the profiles that could come back into fashion is Kiwior, who is on the fringes at Arsenal and is a familiar face to Motta from their time at Spezia. While he’s more of a full-back than a center-back, it would be a signing similar to Kalulu, who has been one of Juventus’ best performers so far.
