Juventus legend Gianluigi Buffon believes former teammate Angel Di Maria has been overlooked in the past, but people will see his value at Juve. The pair played together at PSG during Buffon’s brief stint with the Ligue 1 champions, and speaking to La Stampa Buffon was full of praise for the Argentine winger:
Di Maria? He’s been overlooked and honestly, I never understood why. Football follows a logic that is not always understandable.
We are talking about an absolute top player, capable of sacrificing himself for his teammates: he would always play in my team.
It’s a great move for Juventus, moreover on a free transfer. I have the feeling that in Italy, he is not fully appreciated, but they will quickly realize Angel’s value.”
