Dusan Vlahovic finally found his scoring touch, netting twice in Juventus’ 3-0 victory over Genoa. The Serbian striker addressed the media after the match, discussing his performance and recent criticism.
On his double and the team’s performance, Vlahovic said, “The most important thing is that we won and we want to continue like this. Conceicao? He’s just arrived, it takes time to get used to it. He can already speak, but he’s a perfectionist and still speaks Portuguese.”
Addressing perceptions of a controversial celebration, he stated, “There’s no problem, people talk. If you score, you’re the best; if you don’t, you’re the worst. It’s all normal, it’s up to me to respond on the field and I certainly will.”
Vlahovic acknowledged the expectations placed on him: “It happens, sometimes there are fewer chances… People expect me to solve matches and it’s normal, I don’t run away. I always give 100%, I’m super calm and I’ll always give my best on the field. For a striker when you don’t score it’s difficult, but today we won and that’s the only thing that matters.”
He also praised his new teammate Conceicao: “He’s very strong, he’s giving us a great hand. We missed him when he wasn’t with us due to injury, now I hope many assists will come for me.”
When asked about his goal-scoring ambitions, Vlahovic remained focused on the team’s success: “I don’t know, I don’t set limits, I look at it game by game doing my best. Then whatever comes I’ll take, but the important thing is winning because this shirt demands that.”
