Inter midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu addressed the team’s recent derby defeat and their upcoming match against Udinese in a candid interview with Inter TV. The Turkish international emphasized the team’s determination to bounce back and return to their winning ways.
“The loss against Milan certainly hurt us, because losing always hurts,” Calhanoglu admitted. “However, we’ve already put it behind us. This week we worked well, with intensity because we know our strength. Of course, we also know that it won’t be easy here in Udine, but we have good feelings because we worked very well this week.”
When asked about what would be needed for today’s match, Calhanoglu expressed his personal commitment and the team’s collective ambition. “I want to give my best today because now is the time to return to being what we were last year or in previous years. I believe my teammates are also charged up.”
Regarding their opponents, Udinese, Calhanoglu showed respect while maintaining focus on Inter’s own preparation. “They have a new coach, a German whom I know from the Bundesliga. I’m not sure, we’ll see today on the field how they’ll be. Maybe they’ll change something, but I’m concentrating on our work.”
