Roma targeting Inter executive in Friedkin’s restructuring plan

Start

The Friedkin family’s ongoing revolution at Roma continues unabated following the recent upheaval caused by Daniele De Rossi’s departure and Lina Souloukou’s subsequent resignation. While the search for a new CEO is still underway, with Lorenzo Vitali temporarily promoted to the role amid internal disagreements, the club’s ownership is already looking ahead to further strengthen its management structure.

Dan and Ryan Friedkin, who have recently completed the acquisition of Everton in England, are not content with just addressing the CEO position. After reassuring Roma fans about the club’s future through an open letter, they are now setting their sights on restructuring other crucial areas of the organization, particularly the commercial department.

According to reports from Il Messaggero (via Calciomercato), the American owners are attempting to lure Luca Danovaro away from Inter Milan. Danovaro, who currently serves as Inter’s Chief Revenue Officer and works closely with Corporate CEO Alessandro Antonello, is seen as a prime target for Roma’s revamped commercial operations.

This move would mark a return to the Italian capital for Danovaro, who previously held the position of Chief Marketing Officer at Roma during the 2017-2018 season. During his earlier stint with the club, he was also a member of the board of directors, albeit before the Friedkins took ownership.
