Following Juventus’ Champions League victory against PSV, the team are gearing up for their Serie A clash with Napoli in the fifth round of fixtures. Prior to the match, Juventus’ Football Director Cristiano Giuntoli spoke to DAZN, sharing insights on the club’s current state and ambitions.
Giuntoli began by acknowledging his colleague Giovanni Manna’s role in his transition to Juventus: “Giovanni introduced me to the Juventus world, and I’m very grateful to him for that.”
Addressing the question of whether their transfer market activity was aimed at winning the Scudetto, Giuntoli offered a measured response: “Napoli has a well-established team. They’ve had an unprecedented transfer market with already developed players. We, on the other hand, have changed many players, it’s a rebuilding process. We want to be competitive right away.”
The Football Director emphasized the need for patience and continuous improvement: “We need to work day by day. We know we can do well, but we also understand that it’s a process.”
