On the eve of a potentially decisive Milan derby, Paulo Fonseca addressed the media in a pre-match press conference. With Milan’s difficult start to the season in both the league and Champions League, tomorrow’s match against Inter could be crucial for the Portuguese coach’s future with the Rossoneri.
Fonseca began by discussing the team’s morale: “There’s unity, cohesion, and great frustration. The team understands the situation, we’re working together to do our best. The derby? Winning would mean a lot.”
When questioned about his future, Fonseca remained focused on the immediate task: “I’m not thinking about that. The most important thing is to think about the team and the derby. What I’ve done is what I always do: do my job and prepare the players.”

Regarding potential changes to his approach, Fonseca stood firm: “Change something compared to what was done at the beginning? It’s been three fantastic days of work, and that’s why I have confidence in the future.”
On the topic of the transfer market, Fonseca stated: “I received what we prepared and studied to form a very strong team. Are we already that? At the moment, no.”
