Dybala bids farewell to De Rossi: “Football is often unfair”

Start

Roma’s sudden decision to part ways with Daniele De Rossi has sent shockwaves through the club, prompting reactions from players and fans alike. Among those expressing their sentiments is Argentine star Paulo Dybala, who took to social media to share his thoughts on De Rossi’s departure.

In a heartfelt Instagram post, Dybala wrote: “Coach, it hasn’t been many months, but it was enough to convey so much to us both on a sporting and human level. Football is often unfair… thank you for everything and I wish you the best for your future.”

The brief tenure of De Rossi as Roma’s head coach came to an abrupt end after just four matches, in which the team managed to secure only three points. The club’s decision to replace him with Ivan Juric reflects the intense pressure and high expectations in top-flight football.

Dybala’s message carries extra weight given his recent commitment to Roma. The Argentine forward had turned down a lucrative offer from Saudi Arabia during the transfer window, choosing instead to remain with the Giallorossi. His loyalty to the club and respect for De Rossi shine through in his farewell message.

The sudden coaching change comes at a crucial time for Roma, with Dybala himself still finding his footing this season. In the four league matches played so far, the talented attacker has logged 202 minutes on the pitch but has yet to register a goal or an assist.
